The key factors in choosing the videoconferencing system supplier for the Finnish Defence Forces were the requirements set for the co-operation between authorities and, in particular, compatibility with the videoconferencing system and other services of the Internal Security ICT Agency (HALTIK) of the Ministry of the Interior. The tasks of the IT services of the Finnish Defence Forces include making the operations of the organisation more efficient and saving costs. In recent years, Videra has delivered a total of over 1,100 videoconferencing systems to different public administration organisations. Remote conferencing is actively utilised by the Finnish Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Employment and the Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Transport and Communications and Ministry of Finance. Videra’s Virtual Office solutions form well over half of the solutions delivered to the public administration operators, and the videoconferencing systems for internal network environments can mainly be found amongst national safety and security authorities. |
